If you're struggling in the postpartum period, I want you to know this: you are not alone! Most of us find it harder than we'd expected, including me, and help is out there. Wonderful organisations like Postpartum Support International exist to support you. If you'd like some in-home help, you might like to consider reaching out to a postpartum doula in your area. They can be life (and sanity) savers!
If you sense you may need some support for your relationship, again, you're not alone! Relationship changes during the transition into parenthood are normal (67% of couples report them) - they don't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with you, your partner or your marriage. So please search for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Relationship Counsellor or Life Coach in your area. Some therapists even work on-line, so you don't have to leave your living room! The best person for you is someone you can relate to and trust, because working through issues can take time. But totally worth it. And besides, even long term therapy is much, much cheaper than divorce!
